Email is not dead. It’s actually one of the cheaper ways of marketing. It’s free and everyone has an email address. When it comes to email marketing it’s not simply just sending emails telling prospective customers about your business. Email is a tool or a step in the process. It’s part of the strategy.
Email can be used for staying in touch with past customers, nurturing prospective customers, Email can be used forand bringing more awareness to your business. Here’s a couple of scenarios.
If you’re a dentist and a patient comes in and you service them you want to stay in touch with them. A way you can do that with email is to setup an automated email system that will send them an email 1 month later to see how they’re doing, 6 months later to make sure everything is still OK, and 12 months later to get them to schedule an appointment.
If you’re a CPA, your industry won’t be too exciting to talk about to the everyday person. Instead of just updating your clients with the latest tax changes you can write about personal challenges and how you’ve overcome them. Writing personal stories instead of industry related information will always be more interesting and engaging. People will do business with someone they know and trust instead of someone who claims to know everything about their industry.
